"Hold my hand or get my shoe in your face!"

The boys are getting along swimmingly!  (I just wanted to use that word for fun.)  They are having a blast together and Mia was too until she left for a sleepover with Naomi around lunch today.  They are cracking each other up and generally loving being together.  I think the biggest highlight tonight came from the way Jackson pronounces balloon.  You see, Lennon calls a balloon "bab", not unlike his many other monosyllabic  words that all start with b and have a slightly different inflection/pronunciation and mean a myriad of things.  Jackson's word for balloon sounds a little more like "boeboe" which of course is our word for your backside.  Lennon thought this concept was hysterical!  He ran around holding the balloon and laughing.  Each time I would ask him if it was a "boeboe"  he would laugh and say "no" in his tone of "what are you crazy?"  I think he gets that tone from his Daddy.  :)

Most of the day was great.  The boys played for hours out in Amy's sand box and backyard with about 11 other kids.  We ate pancakes for breakfast, Mia saved the Mickey Mouse one for Jax.  Played in the kids kitchen, jumped on beds, read books, grocery shopped and took nice long naps.  Well, Lennon took a nice long nap.  Poor little Jackson didn't get to bed last night until about 10, woke up around 7 and only took about a 1.5 hour nap.  Hopefully he'll fare better the next 24 hours.

In the car this afternoon Jackson, the sweet little dude that he is, wanted to hold hands with Lennon while we ran errands.  Lennon is unfortunately not much of a hand holder.  He will hold hands with me while crossing the street etc, but only for very short periods of time and it's a struggle.  Jackson took this as a personal offense and decided that if Lennon would not hold his hand than Lennon would get to stare down Jack's shoe.  I couldn't even really believe how close Jackson could get his foot to Lennon's face.  Lennon expressed his displeasure for this with loud screams which was totally fun and also followed by an even louder screech from Jackson lamenting his rejection.   Each time we would reach back and put Jack's foot down he would try to hold Lennon's hand again and get the same reaction - a snotty sounding "NO! No No!!"  Because as we all know, Lennon never says any word just once. And so it went for a good deal of the drive, but in typical man style, as soon as we gave them both some food to chew on the quarrels stopped.  Ah food.  What wondrous powers you have.
