Mia came downstairs wearing a smile as big as Texas.
"Do you know why I'm wearing this necklace backwards?" She asked showing off a beautiful jeweled, heart-shaped necklace backwards.
"Why?" I asked filled with proud anticipation of what I expected to be an amazing answer coming from my amazing daughter.
She looked proud of herself even as she started to respond to me. "Because, you might look weird on the outside, but you could still be beautiful and wonderful on the inside." And she danced away. How did I get so lucky to be the parent of such a wonderful, wise little sweetheart?
