Trip to Texas Part III

July 4th Weekend in San Antonio

We spent three or four nights, I can't remember now, at Aunt Mandy's house in San Antonio. Aunt Hill's college roomie came too for a couple nights with her girls who were Mia's instant best friends. There was fishing, melty beads, yummy food, lots of swimming and fun to be had by all.

Lennon caught his first fish with the help of Jimmy, Danielle's husband. The kids thought it was super cool. The guys actually got it mostly ready to cook and then someone put it in the freezer for what reason I don't know, so we never ate that fish.

There were a lot of people and a couple of dogs on this little dock.

Jax and Lennon were pretending to be baby flamingos out on the dock with me and Gaga one afternoon.

Aunt Hill got this shot form a distance of us out on the dock and I love it.

The butterflies were very affectionate this weekend. This one hung out on Mia for quite some time. It's on her shoulder.

Mia saying good bye to her friends. They were all very sad to be leaving each other.

Aunt Mandy showing the boys pictures of Dunkin on her phone. Jackson asked if Dunkin (who died last year) would be coming back home as soon as he was all better.

Our last day in San Antonio we packed up the car and headed out to spend some time on the Riverwalk. Dusitn and LeNan met up with us with their kids, so we got to see them one more day which was super fun. We went out to lunch at Mi Tierra and there was some kind of festival out on the street. The kids all wanted to stop to watch these Mexican dancers.

When Gaga was a kid Bill used to always call these guys over to the table to sing and play and it always embarrassed her, so when Mia wanted to have them over, of course Gaga couldn't say no. She had them sing Guadalajara, one of Bill's favorite songs. It was a pretty cool moment.

Cousins being silly

Mia couldn't get enough cuddles from her sweetie pie cousin, Reagan

Smiling over the koi pond, or giant gold fish, or whatever kind of big orange fish they are

We all had such a fun, relaxing day.

Mia sharing a Dulce De Leche milk shake with Gaga while Lennon napped in my arms on a couch in a hotel on the River walk.
