Settling In

Just to give you an idea of the third color we chose.  It's looks darker in this shot than in the one below.  I think it is actually somewhere in the middle of the top and bottom pics.

Mateus is in the corner in this shot.  He was helping me take the pictures.  This room is super narrow.

We're going to have a non-working radiator removed from this room so that we can put the bed up against the window in the back of the room to make the room feel bigger.

Our bedroom.  Nothing special.  I'm totally not done at all with this room, but here it is.

"The Hideout"  Behind the couch in Claire's house.  It's a little opening in the wall under the stairs.  The kids love it.  They have a cozy rug and DVD player in there, along with lots of books.

We have awesome views of sunsets from our bedroom window.

We've had quite a few breakfasts together already.  In this shot I think Lennon is scoping out Bianca's plate for leftover food.

We all miss Mia so much and can't wait for all the fun we are all going to have together when she gets back home and sees our new home all set up for the first time.  I've been working hard on her room to make it perfect for when she gets here.

I LOVE YOU MIA!!!!!

I love the colors! What's the name and brand of the rust colored paint? I love it! The house looks so much different with fresh paint everywhere!

Originally I went online to Benjamin Moore paint and chose colors, but when Shelby and Jay went to buy it, the paint was pretty expensive so they went to Lowe's and had them color match with a brand called Olympic. We later flund out that Olympic paint is all no voc, enviromentaly preferred, low oder paint and it was super cheap which was awesome for us. You can tell the difference in quality between the Olympic no voc and the Benjamin Moore no voc though cause the kids rooms are done with Benjamin Moore cause we didn't know any better. But it still looks pretty good.

Anyway, the red color was called Red Oxide on Benjamin Moore's site. The other colors are Rosemary Sprig and Brookline Beige.
